6. Grove Hopper in ChatGPT and other AI assistants

Grove Hopper offers a plugin that AI assistants such as ChatGPT can call to answer property tax questions. It needs no account and no login. When you use it, the assistant sends us only the inputs for the question you asked, such as a property address, a county and state, or numbers for a tax estimate. We do not receive your name, your email address or the rest of your conversation.

• Property address: used to look up the property, and sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder and, for several counties, the county's public assessment records. We do not store it when the plugin is used. If you click the link to your free report, the address travels in that link to grovehopper.com and the rest of this policy applies from there.
• Usage record: for each call we store the tool used, the state and county, whether it succeeded, how long it took and the time. The record contains no address and no personal details. We use it to keep the plugin working and to count how often it is used. We keep these records for as long as the service operates and delete them on request.
• Links in answers lead to grovehopper.com, where the rest of this policy applies. Links carry a utm_source=chatgpt_plugin tag so we can count visits from the plugin.
